Here is a list of all our Nipper, Junior Lifeguard and Lifeguard Training Programs

Junior Lifeguard Training & Testing - Age 9 – 15 (as of 7/1/26)
Sundays, March 1st thru June 21st
1:00 to 1:45 and 1:45 to 2:30 pm at E H. YMCA Pool
April 12 – June 21 Jr LGs will train only at Session 1 - 1:00 to 1:45pm
Returning Juniors LGs MUST attend to requalify each year.
New Junior LGs MUST take this training to qualify for our 2025 Summer Program
No Fee

Nipper Training & Testing - Age 6, 7 & 8 (as of 7/1/26)
Sundays, April 12th thru June 28th
Second Session - 1:45 to 2:30 pm at E H. YMCA Pool
Returning Nippers MUST attend to requalify each year.
New Nippers MUST take this training to qualify for our 2025 Summer Program
No Fee

The Nipper Guard Program - Age 6, 7 & 8 (as of 7/1/26)
Tuesdays & Thursdays - June 30th thru July 28th at Alberts Landing Bay Beach, Amagansett
or
Monday & Wednesdays - June 29th thru July 28th at East Lake Bay Beach, Montauk
New & Returning Nipper LGs MUST have qualified each year at E H YMCA Pool

The Junior Lifeguard Program - Age 9 – 15 (as of 7/1/26)
Saturdays & Sundays June 20th thru August 2nd
9:00 – 11:00am at Atlantic Avenue, Amagansett or Ditch Plains, Montauk Ocean Beaches
New & Returning Juniors LGs MUST have qualified each year at E H YMCA Pool

Beach Guardian Adult Water Safety Program - Age 21 and up
10:00 – 11:30 am at Atlantic Ave or Ditch Plains Ocean Beaches
Saturdays & Sundays June 27th thru August 2nd

Lifeguard Trainee - Skills & Conditioning Training - Age 15 & up (as of 7/1/26)
Sundays, March 1st thru March 29th
2:30 – 4:00 pm at E H. YMCA Pool

Lifeguard Stillwater Certification Course - Age 15 & up (as of 7/1/26)
Sundays, April 12th thru May 17th
3:00 – 4:30 pm at E H. YMCA Pool
Open Water Practical - Weekdays, May 26th thru June 11th
3:15 – 4:30 pm at Alberts Landing Bay Beach

Lifeguard Ocean Certification Course - Age 16 & up (as of 7/1/26)
Weekdays, May 26th thru June 13th
3:30 - 5:30 pm at Maidstone Club, E H
Make up days – Weekends beginning Memorial Day Weekend

Ocean Lifeguard Summer Certification Course - Age 16 & up (as of 8/1/26)
Mondays & Wednesdays, June 24th thru July 29th
6:00 – 8:00 pm Indian Wells Beach, Amagansett
